The project
Technology in service of everyday wellbeing.
@Life was developed by an interdisciplinary team spanning informatics, medicine, psychology, and kinesiology. The platform combined web, mobile, sensor, and cloud technologies to help users understand their physical and psychological state and follow progress toward personal goals.
My contribution
Connecting the web experience with progress tracking.
I contributed to both the web infrastructure and the project's mobile experience as part of the larger development team.
- Worked on the Liferay-based portion of the web infrastructure.
- Developed user-facing pages for viewing and managing fitness progress.
- Later contributed to the iOS application, initially in Objective-C.
- Continued mobile development as the application transitioned to Swift.
The wider outcome
A recognized interdisciplinary project.
The project demonstrated how thoughtful visualization and cross-platform technology could turn complex health indicators into understandable feedback. @Life received recognition from the Slovenian Society Informatika as a leading informatics project in 2013.
